Wes Enos and his wife, Amy, make their home in Bondurant, Iowa, where they are proud foster parents of two teenage boys. For nearly 20 years, Wes has been an active and engaged member of the Bondurant community — serving on the Bondurant City Council, the Chamber of Commerce, and as a representative for the city on the Metro Waste Authority and the Des Moines Visitors & Conventions Bureau Board of Directors.
In his professional life, Wes serves as Deputy Chief of Staff for Congressman Zach Nunn, where he works every day to help Iowans cut through red tape and navigate complicated government bureaucracies. He assists cities and local governments in identifying and securing grants for critical infrastructure, economic development, and job-creating projects that strengthen our communities and grow Iowa’s economy.
As a passionate community advocate, Wes is deeply committed to economic growth, job creation, and housing affordability — ensuring that Iowa families can build their lives and futures right here at home.
As a foster parent, Wes brings firsthand experience to his advocacy for reform within the Department of Health and Human Services. He and Amy are one of just a handful of foster families in the Des Moines area who welcome teens over the age of 13 — a group too often overlooked in the foster care system. Wes believes that every child deserves stability, love, and opportunity — and that building strong families today leads to stronger communities tomorrow. His conviction is simple: when children grow up in stable, supportive homes, they become successful adults who strengthen our state and require less government support in the future.
For Wes Enos, it all comes down to family, community, and opportunity — the foundation of a stronger Iowa.
